Winter Holiday Card Visual Arts Contest
The Masonic Fraternity of Oklahoma is excited to support Public Schools in Oklahoma with our Winter Holiday Card Visual Arts Contest. This contest will recognize talented students of all ages while providing support to Art Teachers and Art Programs across the state.
An exciting aspect of this program is that 1st-place recipients in each division will have their designs printed and used by the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma as one of their Winter Holiday cards!
The contest is divided into five divisions - please review the contest flyers to identify your applicable group.
Design Criteria
- Theme: The card design should reflect a winter holiday or winter seasonal theme.
- Aesthetic Appeal: The artwork should be visually engaging, with thoughtful use of color, composition,
and design. - Medium: 2-dimensional work or 3-dimensional artwork that when photographed or scanned will print
well on a flat card. For example, digital art, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, pen and ink, etc. - Originality: Designs must be original and created by the participant.
- Size: Design should fit inside a 5×7 inches or 7×5 inches box in order to fit on a card.
- Text: If the card includes text, it should be legible and harmoniously integrated into the design. Ensure
proper spelling and grammar - Appropriateness: The content should be respectful and suitable for all audiences.
- Message: The card should convey a holiday greeting or sentiment. This could be through imagery, a brief
message, or both.
Judging Criteria
- Creativity: Originality of the design.
- Relevance: Artwork aligns with the winter holiday or winter seasonal theme.
- Technical Skill: Craftsmanship, use of materials, reproducibility.
- Overall Impact: Appeal of the card as a holiday greeting.
Contest Details
- Any Oklahoma public school student is eligible and may submit one entry.
- Submissions will be digitally accepted from October 1, 2026, through February 6, 2027.
- Designs must be submitted in .PDF, .JPEG, or .PNG format – Minimum 300 DPI for images, maximum of 25MB per file
- Entries become the property of the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma and will not be returned.
