Should I Use Promises Matter Matching Funds or a Promises Matter Grant?
Both. Keep these Promises Matter guidelines in mind:
- Start locally (lodge funds, “pass the hat” or fundraisers)
- Apply for Promises Matter Matching Funds
(up to $12,500 in matching funds available each year) - Request a Promises Matter Grant if additional support is needed
- For large needs, apply for both at the same time
What Does a Promises Matter Grant Cover?
- Medical expenses
- Groceries
- Utility bills
- Necessary home repairs
- Emergency situations
Can We Advertise Matching Funds?
- No. Do not mention Matching Funds in any promotions.
- Funds are not guaranteed and require approval. Advertising them will result in application denial.
- Best practice: Promote as a Masonic Lodge fundraiser benefiting a specified recipient.
